By Abdelmajid Kassem*
A Couple of American Moroccan Competencies led by Dr. Mohamed Boutjdir, a Professor at SUNY Down State in NY, created the “American Moroccan Competencies Network – AMCN” which is an entity who’s goals are to tie collaborations between Morocco and US in several areas of interest to the kingdom of Morocco:
1. Industry and New Technologies
2. Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research & Development
3. Moroccan Women and Development
4. Agriculture et Agro-Food
5. Sustainable Development and Protection of Environment
6. Human Development
The Ministry of Moroccans living abroad and AMCN are calling for projects to be submitted in one of these areas. The selected projects’ Authors/Project Directors will be called for a meeting that will be held New York City on June 23, 2012. The requests for project (RFP) forms are available in English and French and can be downloaded here:
A flyer with examples of projects from our Canadian Network can be downloaded AMCN_RFP_6-23-2012
Please submit your proposals to: americanmoroccancn@gmail.com. The deadline for projects submission is April 30, 2012.
Please circulate the news and RFPs to Moroccan Associations and colleagues in the US who may be interested in submitting projects.
